undrgrndwmn asked: My husband and I are interested in replacing the original 1918 windows in our Craftsman. Keeping the double-hung look is important to us. So far, we’ve gotten quotes on a new construction (full insert) Pella window and replacement Anderson windows. The Pella windows, imo, look better. They are also thousands of dollars more.
My question, is this: do you have the Anderson wood veneer replacement windows? If so, did you paint or stain them? How long have you had them? Does the internal finish hold up and still look good?
I’m concerned about the durability of this thin, wood veneer.
