pvc windows trade
mold and condensation in and around the windows?

Hi anyone knows why I'm getting the rust and condensation on the windows of my apartment and ceilings. PVC double glazing only 10 years old, the house only 30 years. About five years ago, a neighbor convinced me to take old sofits and pvc and fascias. Last year alone do me round air vents in the siding. if this is what is wrong with the ventilation holes around the dry time? I appreciate this is a lot of assumptions on my part, but I'm trying to solve the problem without having the builders / roofers no doubt want to take the entire roof, put a new damp proof course ….. (Apologies to all people of good reputation, honest trade.

you only get the mold and condensation where no air flow .. ie lack of ventilation … however, soffitts vents or lack of them will not make your problem,,, air vents soffitto the roof space … however, its very important that the insulation is not going over the area soffitto … must end in brick during an internal or … everything must be at least 8 ".. (200 mm) thick ….. as room problems. . Sounds like there is enough insulation in the roof and the windows open? … makes your windows have vents splash .. Reg now is a new PVC windows build .. have modern air gap of 20 mm …. clean all surfaces with Dettol .. going to kill the spores .. treated as a experiment to leave the bedroom door ajar often heals .. if it works, you know you need more ventilation … air like a brick … ps .. I am a builder

pvc windows offers
Buy the house without planning consent2 pvc windows, offering insurance compensation WOT bein but does that mean?

The building regulations 2002 state that consent is required 4rm advice to put new windows, these windows were put in in 2004 but did not appear to have the consent or 4rm windsow certified installers. We bein provides liability insurance! What does this mean? Should influence or not to continue?

Well, this question is not particularly understandable. Apparently, you are buying a house that has either a building code for construction defect, or something else against a homeowners association rules, or something. Hard to tell what. I have no idea how the "compensation insurance" is associated with it. But you may have to bring the house up to code or make it compatible with the association rules. If the insurance should cover that, I would not recommend purchasing insurance for him (Which, in fact, probably will not cover, for a variety of reasons), you have the seller fix the deficit before closing the sale.

How much should it cost to stain the house?

This is a 1.100 square feet of cedar siding and finish coating preparation and finishing two layers of foundation of the house .. preparation and finishing 2 coats back porch, preparation, finish and sash 2 layers, all within the storm preparation and a basal layer of window restoration end, the outer frame only, preparation and finishing 2 coats, coating and re-nail loose nails the washing, brushing, sanding, priming and if necessary chaulk Sherwin Williams Paint

The painting could cost up to $ 500 (around 300 for the stain alone) labor costs, if you hire someone depends on where you live. I would say in the thousands though. You are probably looking at somewhere near a project of 2000. Good luck!

sash windows making
Meet wooden windows?

They have the old wooden windows that are difficult to open – have sash cords, but not open or close easily. What I can use to make the job easier?

try smearing Vaseline on the guides and see if that helps to loosen up.

replace window sill wood?

Hi, I have a windowsill that is rotten. How difficult is it to replace? How is it connected to the window? Is it necessary to replace the old band to take out? Once you make a new sill is hard to put in? Any ideas are appreciated!

It is not that difficult. I found that was rotten and left thinking I'd have to get my brother to fix it (Carpenter). Just by looking at what I did a new one with 2X material, some cutting, painting, caulking and nail. If I can do it anyone can.

How can you tell if the wood is dry enough to paint?

I think the restoration of original wood windows in my 100 years old farm house. The first I have to do is remove caked thick paint.I have heard that the steam that works well to loosen the thick layers of paint, I'm considering building a steam chamber of a 55 gallon drum to heat the tape up to 200 degrees or so to loosen the paint.Assuming I have succeeded in paint removal, how I can know when the wood is thoroughly dry and ready for painting. Please note, I'm not dipping the wooden frames in the water, I exposing to air and steam at 212 degrees.

I've never heard of this technique – doen't say it's wrong, but never heard of him. I to assume that if you expose the windows to heat the steam for a long time, hope the glass composite failure. You did not say whether he planned to re-glazing. Personally removable product works well for removing many layers of paint. Removable is expensive, but it works and is not as complicated as normal paint remover. If I do not want to spend the money on a paint remover, the following would try a heat gun. Finally, the only sure way to see the wood is too wet paint is to use a moisture meter. Unfortunately, moisture meters are expensive, which is a shame.
