I have had vinyl replacement windows for more than five years and I love them. They have made an enormous difference in the heating of my home and are so much easier to operate than those old drafty wooden wrecks that we used to have. They were custom made by the installer so I don’t have a brand to recommend.

Depending on your area. there are so many different window mnfr these days and in turn they are all about the same, just choose the following specs.
Double pane
low E– Should have a sticker saying energy star rated
1/2 or full screen
welded not mechanical build– ( screwed together )
Anderson and pella now make Vinyl Windows
jeld wyn certinteed are others. At this point you are just bying a name
The most important thing is the installer. Check his ref and dont sign on the same day he/she comes out.
PS Energy Star rated windows might be a tax credit.
