Went to Lowes and Home Depot and apparently they dont sell pieces of glass at all, where do I go to get one? Looked on ebay but I cant really find what Im looking for.

I’m hoping anyone with personal experience in selecting a window company can answer these questions for us - or provide additional comments and information.

1. In terms of energy efficiency, are there ratings or grades assigned to specific companies or window types that I should be looking for?

2. Can the average replacement window be made to fit any home or should we expect additional costs for some sort of customization?

3. Will the energy bill savings ever really cover the cost of the new windows? How long did it take some of you to recoup the expense?

i need to replace my old double hung wood windows…I was going to use Andersen–since I like the narrow framing on those windows–and that they are wood on the inside which can be painted to match the room…unfortunately, it seems Andersen only has windows either 24″ wide or 28.5″ wide–and the size that would fit my opening would be 23″ wide…(I would like to use FIVE 23″ casement windows, side by side, to fill the opening!)…any ideas? someone mentioned Bonneville can make 23″ casement window size. Anyone know if Bonneville makes a nice narrow framed casement window and are they paintable (wood) on the inside of the window?
