Stuck PVC plastic window?
My bedroom window is a PVC plastic and stuck on the bottom. its been like this for about 3 months, but now I have very, very hot i need to open. if anyone knows how to fix it I'll be sooo grateful!

I have 14 double hung windows that need to be replaced. All are twin (meaning 2 windows side by side). They are wood single pane. The sills need replacing too. When buying replacement windows, are the whole window and frame (and sill) replaced? I’m looking for vinyl replacements, low e, low solar gain, double pane.
I had one estimate of $8200! Dang. That was a lot more than I expected. I’ve priced the ones at Home Depot and for my size he quoted me a price of $200 each (Not including installation).

Is there a product or process(other than blinds or drapes) for reducing heat coming into my southwest home exposure. The light comes through 2 sliding doors & 8 windows and it gets hot in the afternoon. I want that same heat, however, in the colder months.
